Career guidance cell
A dedicated Career Guidance Cell is established to guide the students to prospective careers. The cell engages the students in various informative career-oriented sessions, panel discussions, leadership qualities, educational and occupational exploration, interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, goal setting and career planning. It gives ample opportunities to the students for upgrading their skills. It collects the career options from the students and creates awareness and importance of higher studies in India & abroad. It gives regular guidance to the students regarding their career ambitions and facilitates their transition into the professional world to corporate & government.
Placement cell
The uniqueness of the Placement cell of this prestigious Institution is prevalent through the functioning untiringly towards the benefits of the students to strike out a difference in the corporate world. Innovation cell
The foremost purpose of Innovation cell is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes during their course of technical education. This cell provides a platform for students, faculties & researchers to ideate, design and invent in the Public Health sector. It serves as a platform for students and faculties to test their entrepreneurial skills. The main aim of this cell is to create intuition in terms of creative design ideas in various fields of engineering in an aesthetic approach. Innovation Cell will assist students and also encourage young talented minds by providing them a perfect platform for showcasing their talents, working together as teams and participating in various competitions. It will also serve to provide the students a platform to excel in their specialized area of interest. It also establishes a platform to develop cognitive abilities among the students and create a vibrant innovative environment in the Institute.
Mentoring System
Mentoring system in our Institution establishes a better and effective relationship between student and faculty. All faculty play the role as mentors for students allotted to them in a ratio of 1:20. The students must confide with their mentors. The mentor has a chalked-out responsibilities to take care of all the mentees such as to provide them career counseling, to provide them personal counseling, to support them for any kind of difficulty in their curriculum, to make provision of remedial coaching for them and to always support them as and when required. The mentor also works for finding out hidden talent of the students in various aspects of academic, co-curricular, extra–curricular and extra mural activities so that they can be promoted to do various activities in the concerned area for their holistic development. The mentors meet their Mentees every Friday in a week and discuss the progress in academics and other fields and the progress is sent to their parents through Gurupadigam format. In isolated cases parents are called for counseling and their special meeting with the Dean (Student Affairs) at the suggestion of the mentor.
Strategy to Improve Weak Students
The Institute identifies the slow learners, generally believed not to have attended classes regularly, poor domain knowledge, or poor pedagogy including a lack of interaction and creativity in the classroom, improper sequencing or unevenness of curricula or syllabi and related issues it is the combination of factors that ultimately results in educational wastage, there is a significant onus on institutions to address both student and institutional issues that cause students to perform poorly. The Institution offers remedial classes either during the semester (say, in the evenings, on weekends) and also provides classes when no classes are held but faculty are available to help students to address their weaknesses. Peer Learning groups are formed to encourage and help students to develop as they find that others have similar problems and get a chance to discuss their academic problems and other issues. The college has set up an English language lab where students can listen to tapes and use workbooks to improve their English, particularly spoken English. Many programs are conducted regarding interactive and oriented to confidence-building, rather than exam-oriented, job-oriented.
